FAQ
Connection between the board and the app
for iOS
Check power supply
-If you are using only AA batteries
Please check if there are enough remaining AA batteries. If the remaining battery power is insufficient, the Bluetooth connection will not be stable. Please try replacing the batteries. When using rechargeable AA batteries, if the batteries have been used repeatedly, the power output may be insufficient even when fully charged due to depletion, and stable power supply for the Bluetooth connection may not be possible.
-When using a USB adapter for power supply
Please check the output (OUTPUT) of the USB adapter you are using. 5 volts 1.5 amps or higher (recommended 2.4 amps or higher) is required to use GRANBOARD3, 3s, and 132 properly. If the amperage is insufficient, Bluetooth connection may not be possible or the connection may not be stable. Also, if the USB adapter has multiple ports and the maximum output is 2.4 amps, the amperage will be divided when multiple ports are used at the same time, resulting in a low voltage and causing symptoms. Example: A USB adapter with a maximum output of 2.4 amps and two USB ports will be divided into 1.2 amps each when both ports are used at the same time. *Please note that using a USB adapter capable of output other than 5V may cause malfunctions due to overvoltage.
Check the settings on your device
If you cannot connect the board to the application, please check the settings of the smartphone/tablet you are using the application on.
1: Is "Settings" -> "Bluetooth" of the device turned on?
The connection between the GRANBOARD app and the board is made via Bluetooth, so if the device setting is OFF, the connection will not work. Please check the Bluetooth setting by referring to the image.

2: Did you approve all "access permissions" when the app was first launched?
The app will ask for permission to use the device's functions. If you do not allow access to Bluetooth or location information at that time, Bluetooth connection will be disabled. Please refer to the image and check the access permission settings.

Check your device settings
If you cannot connect the board to the application, please check the settings of the smartphone/tablet you are using the application on.
1: Is "Settings" -> "Bluetooth" of the device turned on?
The connection between the GRANBOARD app and the board is made via Bluetooth, so if the device setting is OFF, the connection will not work. Please check the Bluetooth setting by referring to the image.
2: Check the access permissions for the app
Did you approve all "access permissions" when the app was first launched? The app will ask for permission to use the device's functions when it is first launched. If you do not authorize access to Bluetooth and location information at that time, Bluetooth connection will be disabled. Please check the Bluetooth settings by referring to the image.
3: Check the use of location information service
In order to use Bluetooth on Android OS, location information service must be ON. If the location information service is OFF, please change it to ON and try to connect. If you still cannot connect, change "WiFi Scan" and "Bluetooth Scan" to ON in the advanced settings of the location information service. Please check the Bluetooth settings with reference to the image. *If you are using Android Box, please change the settings from "Android OS Settings". **The names and locations of the settings may vary depending on the OS version and device manufacturer.
Change Bluetooth connection channel
Some Android devices may use a special Bluetooth connection method. If you are still unable to connect after checking the power supply and your device settings, please change the Bluetooth connection channel setting to CH2 or CH3 in the System item in the Setting section of the application and try connecting. *The default is CH1.
About GRANBOARD itself
GRANBOARD3 / 3s / 132
LED lights do not emit / do not work properly
If you are having problems with LED emission, there are two possible reasons
1: You are using both AA batteries and a USB power source.
2: Insufficient amperage of the USB power adapter
1:If you are using both AA batteries and a USB power
If you are using AA batteries, please remove the AA batteries and try to operate only with USB power. If they are used together, there may be problems with the LEDs and Bluetooth connection.
2: Insufficient amperage of the USB power adapter
A USB adapter of 1.5 amps or more (recommended 2.4 amps or more) is required to use the LED emission function of GRANBOARD3/3s properly. Insufficient amperage may affect the LED light function and Bluetooth connection. In addition, if multiple USB adapters are used and the maximum output is 2.4 amps, the amperage will be split. If multiple USB adapters are used at the same time, the amperage will be divided, resulting in a low voltage, which may cause symptoms.
Example: A USB adapter with a maximum output of 2.4 amps and two USB adapters with two ports will output 1.2 amps each when both ports are used at the same time.
The board is not responsive or does not register score once every few throws
When the board sometimes does not react,
Please try to readjust the board response interval from [Board Settings] in Setting. Once set the maximum to 12, and then set the minimum to 0.
About the board reaction interval
The reaction interval adjusts the time between throws when the first, second, and third throws are made in succession. The maximum is 1.5 seconds and the minimum is 0.6 seconds, with the default setting being the maximum. If the next dart hits the board during this no-reaction time, it will not react.
Also, please tap Set4 for the bottom target area reaction sensitivity and try to reset it as well as the reaction interval. (Set4 is the highest sensitivity setting.)
BULL not registering (Registered as OUT)
There are two possible causes for the BULL not registering and registering as "OUT".
1: The sensor sheet is damaged.
2: The segment is not seated properly.
Regarding the first case of sensor sheet damage, there are almost no examples of sensor sheet damage in GRAN BOARD1/2/3/3s users, so it is highly likely that the segment is not firmly seated.
The structure of the BULL segment is slightly different from other segments. As you can see from the inside of the board, the segment is circular and has a claw-like structure at the edge to hold it in place. If the pawl is not facing the direction of the number 20 on the board, the segment is not fixed and both single and double BULLs will not respond.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please refer to the video below and open the back cover to check the installation of the BULL segment.
The numbers register on their own even though have not thrown a dart.
1: There may be a issue with the GRANBOARD itself. Please check if the following steps will correct the issue.
A segment that register continuously on its own may be pushed in and fit into the frame, causing it to respond continuously. Is the segment in question pushed in too far compared to the other segments? If so, this can be resolved by lightly pointing a dart at the segment and moving it left or right.
2: We suspect that the sensor sheet is damaged.
Please refer to the video at the following link and open the back cover of the board to see if there are any dents in the sensor sheet.
https://youtu.be/1e84Be9BpsM
The sensor sheet consists of three overlapping layers of film and sends a signal when the electrodes on the first and third layers make contact. If a dent is made and the contact is constantly made, as shown in the reference image below, it may cause a false response. In this case, the sensor sheet needs to be replaced.
